BHAVAN VIDYALAYA PANCHKULA
Inaugurated by Bharat Ratna Late Sh. C. Subramanium in the year 1994, is a constituent institution of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula endeavours to keep alive the Bhavan's faith as set forth by late Dr. K.M Munshi, of reintegrating Indian culture and holding fast to the fundamental values for which it stands. Bhavan Vidyalaya is a Senior Secondary Public School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The school is a co-educational institution with classes from L.KG – Grade XII, the medium of instruction being English. The institution strives to provide, in keeping with the aims of comprehensive quality education to develop all facets of a child’s personality.
Press note on USA trip (1st October-14th October)
Bhavan Vidyalaya,Sec-15,Panchkula organized its first international trip ‘NASA TREK’ to United States of America from 1st October 2011 to 14th October 2011. A group of 31 students accompanied by honorable Principal of the school, Smt. Shashi Banerjee and two teachers, Mrs. Sonia Arora and Dr. Deepa to Orlando and New York.
The main objective of the trip was to explore new dimensions of life. The three days at KSC ( Kennedy Space Centre) at NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) was a tremendous experience where students were introduced to hardships faced by astronauts via various activities like a trip to the NASA museum, feeling of micro-gravity and experience of space shuttle launching and all these thrilling and mind blowing activities left all awestruck! Various movies were also shown. Progress in the field of technology was also displayed. On the last day a lunch with an astronaut was organised where queries of enthusiastic inquisitive minds were answered. Before the camp ended each and every one was certified during a graduating ceremony. Those three days passed in a whirlwind!
Then the real fun of world’s most thrilling parks took over. Disney world ,the land of toons , universal’s islands of adventure –home of most thrilling rides and roller coasters and sea world kept everyone on their toes enjoying to the hilt, drenched in water.
Orlando’s sceneries were really unforgettable. Last but not the least the group visited New York the city of sky scrappers where buildings with an average of 40 floors were spread all over . New York’s nightlife rocks!
The wide variety of sumptuous food ensured that there was something to tickle everyone’s taste buds-whether the cuisine was American or Indian it was relished by all.
The trip was successful in inculcating responsible attitude amongst students as all were on their own managing each and every aspect of their life independently.
Kind and jolly managers of Edvour group ensured that each and every individual participated whole heartedly in all activities encompassing a wide range of educational and recreational activities.
A very special thanks from the whole group to Madam Principal Smt. Shashi Banerjee for providing this unique experience to the young Bhavanites which would remain etched in their minds, hearts and souls throughout their life.
