The CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition 2024, held at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, on November 12-13, showcased an impressive array of 79 innovative projects from schools across the region. The projects covered a wide range of themes, including Natural Farming, Food, Health & Hygiene, Disaster Management, Waste Management, Resource Management, and Mathematical Modelling. The exhibition, aimed at sparking interest in science and technology. It was inaugurated Mr. Sanjay Bist, Deputy Secretary, CBSE Regional Office Panchkula . In his address, Mr.Bist commended the students for their creativity and enthusiasm. Participation in the Science Exhibition offers students a unique opportunity to explore real-world challenges, expand their understanding of science and technology, and apply scientific concepts to solve practical problems. It encourages students to adopt the scientific method, which includes observing, questioning, planning investigations, hypothesizing, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Moreover, through interaction with co-participants, mentors, and experts in the field, students gain exposure to different facets of science, enriching their knowledge and broadening their perspectives. A panel of six distinguished judges — Dr. Sudhir Kumar Yadav, Dr. Harleen Bakshi, Dr. Tej Kaur, Dr. Rashmi Sangi, Dr. Manish Dev, and Dr. D.P.S. Sehgal — meticulously evaluated the exhibits across seven sub-themes. The judges selected the most outstanding 14 models to represent the region at the National Level Science Exhibition. This event reflects CBSE's ongoing commitment to provide students with interactive, hands-on learning experiences that encourage scientific exploration and foster a spirit of innovation. Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, the Principal of Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula , also motivated the participants to continue pursuing avenues that can contribute to the welfare of mankind through scientific progress and creativity. In all, the exhibition was a resounding success, providing a platform for young minds to display their talents and contribute to the world of science and technology. It reaffirmed the importance of encouraging youth to think critically and creatively, fostering a generation of problem-solvers and innovators for the future.
