Bhavanites’ 09-day Educational Adventure to Japan

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula organized an unforgettable educational trip to Japan from June 15, 2023 to June 23, 2023, providing students with a remarkable opportunity to explore the country's rich culture, history, and technological advancements. The 9-day journey was filled with immersive experiences, fostering global awareness and personal growth among not only the students but the accompanying faculty members of the school . The most distinct part of the trip was students’ visit to Indian Embassy in Japan and their interaction with Ambassador H.E. Sibi George, IFS who is Ambassador of India to Japan. The session, which lasted for more than an hour, was an enlightening experience for everyone. During this interaction session, His Excellency apprised them about life, people, and the earth quake resistant buildings in Japan. He also accentuated the importance and strengthening of Indo-Japan relations. His Excellency graciously addressed to all the questions posed by the students. Another enlightening aspect of this trip was the visit to Yuhigaoka High School, Osaka where the group was shown the traditional toys, an arm wrestling demonstration, confectionary tasting and a hands-on experience of making origami. The discipline in the school was well admired by the visiting teachers and the students. This visit provided a platform for candid talks over their areas of interests, aspirations, and more. A visit to Miraikan – Science Museum was an eye-opening experience for all the members, where they had the chance to witness Robotic simulations, Fancy gizmos about sundry concepts about optics, a fresh perspective about environmental conservation, combating the plastic menace globally and ISS’ simulation. The Origami Experience added a creative segment to each one of them as they learned the process of dyeing paper and the art of making moving lips. An emotional touch was added to the trip when the group visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, where they were shown the place where the A-bomb was first dropped, along with vestiges of damaged items, instances of abnormal bodily growth, and genetic mutations. Everyone felt emotional reading the heart-wrenching letters written by loved ones for their departed members. The contingent also visited Mt. Fuji, a majestic spectacle to behold, enjoyed a Lake Ashi Cruise, visited the Honda Showroom, experienced the Bullet Train, admired the Golden Pavilion, explored the Osaka Wheel, participated in Zen Experience, and engaged in a Tea Ceremony. The school Principal, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, extended heartfelt gratitude to the teachers, parents, and all those who supported this educational endeavor. She emphasized that such initiatives contribute to the overall development and well-rounded education of the students.
