A group of 38 students from Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, accompanied by Principal Ms. Gulshan Kaur and three teachers, embarked on an enriching international trip to the United Kingdom. The journey was packed with exciting experiences, cultural immersion, and learning opportunities. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Indian High Commission in London, India House, where the students gained valuable insights into the country's diplomatic efforts and cultural preservation. They also had the privilege of visiting Bhavan's Centre of Cultural Excellence, which is dedicated to promoting and preserving Indian culture and traditions in the UK. The students were impressed by the efforts of the centre in keeping Indian values and heritage alive in a foreign land.
The students' excitement continued as they explored iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussauds, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Royal Observatory London, and the London Eye, gaining valuable insights into history, art, and design. A comprehensive city tour showcased London's rich heritage, followed by a shopping spree on Oxford Street. The group was also fascinated by the historical significance of Tower Bridge and the iconic chimes of Big Ben.
The students' cultural and educational journey continued as they explored Scotland and Ireland, marveling at the breathtaking landscapes of Europe. They delved into the history of the Titanic at the Belfast museum and were thrilled to visit the Manchester stadium, even getting to wear the same T-shirts worn by famous footballers like Ronaldo. The trip also included visits to Sterling Castle and the city of
Edinburgh.
Throughout the trip, the students enjoyed a diverse culinary experience, savoring standard breakfasts, flavourful Mexican lunches, and sumptuous Indian dinners. The group gained valuable insights into higher education by touring two universities - Hertfordshire University and Heriot Watt University.
Principal Ms. Gulshan Kaur emphasized the importance of such trips in providing international exposure to students.
