Bhavan’s Chetna Vidyalaya organised an art competition
An art competition was organized at Bhavan's Chetna Vidyalaya to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami. The event aimed to encourage artistic expression among students and foster a spirit of creativity and cultural celebration.
Prize distribution ceremony was held to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and talents of the participants. The winners were selected based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the theme of Basant Panchami.Principal Gulshan Kaur graced the occasion and extended her warm congratulations to all the participants. She commended the students for their exemplary creativity and encouraged them to continue nurturing their artistic talents. Principal Kaur emphasized the importance of such events in promoting holistic development among students and fostering a culture of creativity and expression within the school community.
Session began for students of Chetna group from 1 st April 2024 with
15 students.
Around 15 students who joined the Vidyalaya were from
different age groups. Most of the students who are regular in coming to
the school have gone to their respective villages and hence the strength
was low. However, by end of April month, the strength rose to 25
students.
Donation by staff members: Few staff members are regular in giving
their humble donations /contributions for these students so that their basic
requirements of stationery are met. Two staff members- Ms. Alpana and
Ms. Sonia Sood donated refreshments on their ward’s birthdays. Ms.
Sonia Sood has also donated drawing books and pencils for these students
which is kept in stock and is given as and when the need arises.
Volunteers from BVP Interact Club: Four Students of Class VIII-
Mihika Sharma, Arav Gambhir, Ankit Singla and Sanvi Sood who are
part of BVP Interact club have undertaken teaching and helping students
for 1 hour every day. They take up the younger students and guiding them
for language skills like reading and writing the correct formations. For the
senior group they take up IT skills by training them basic skills of
computer –word document on the laptop which was donated by one of the
staff member.
Dace workshop by Volunteers of BVP Interact club: Mihika Sharma and
Sanvi Sood took a dance workshop of all the students teaching them basic
steps and mudras of Kathak. Each student enjoyed and learnt the skills
happily.
Chetna Students learns Self-Defence: Mr. Sachin, the self-defense
instructor at Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, brings a wealth of knowledge
and experience to the training program. The self-defense training program
for the Chetna students is structured to cover various aspects of personal
safety and defense tactics. The program includes:
1. Basic Techniques: Fundamental self-defense moves such as blocks, strikes,
and escape techniques. 2. Situational Awareness: Training students to be aware of their surroundings
and identify potential threats. 3. Physical Conditioning: Exercises to improve strength, agility, and overall
fitness. 4. Mental Preparedness: Building confidence and teaching students to stay calm
and make quick decisions during confrontations.
