Bhavan Vidyalaya, in collaboration with Salwan Education Trust and National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), organized an Income Tax Awareness Programme to educate students, parents, and teachers about India's taxation system and new tax reforms. The event began with a welcome address by Sh. A.N. Mathur, Chairman, Bhavan Vidyalaya School Managing Committee, followed by the felicitation of guests. The chairperson of the Salwan Education Trust, Sh. Sushil Salwan and Secretary, Sh. Paramjit Khanna were also present during the event. A video on Income Tax awareness was showcased, highlighting the importance of tax compliance. Ms. Seema Dhankar, an IRS Officer from the 2010 batch, currently posted as Additional Assistant Director of Income Tax, graced the occasion along with her colleague Mr. Kalicharan Prasad (AAIDT) and other officers. The programme's highlight was an awareness campaign led by Mrs. Priyanka Barara, Principal Salwan Public School, Delhi, informing participants about online competitions to be held at the tricity level, aiming to promote tax awareness among students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, expressing gratitude to the guests, participants, and organizers. The event was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from Principals, teachers and students across Tricity schools marking a significant step towards building a stronger, more tax-compliant India.
