Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.. The celebrations began with a series of special themed assemblies organized throughout the week that instilled a sense of national pride and unity among the students and staff.
The main celebration day commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the esteemed Principal, Mrs. Gulshan Kaur, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, which reverberated through the school grounds, evoking a strong sense of patriotism among all present. The flag hoisting was followed by a parade led by the NCC students, who marched in unison, exemplifying discipline and dedication to the nation. The parade set the tone for the day's celebrations, reflecting the spirit of the armed forces and the youth';s role in safeguarding the country.
Following the parade, Sundram House conducted a special assembly themed "Tribute to Freedom Fighters." The assembly featured heartfelt speeches, soulful patriotic songs, and a dramatic portrayal of key moments from India’s fight for independence. The senior students paid homage to the unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom, inspiring the younger generation to uphold the values of liberty and justice.
The middle school presented a poignant assembly titled Swadhinta- Jashn-E-Azaadi which depicted the story of India's struggle for freedom from 1857 to 1947 through a series of powerful performances. This assembly was a reminder of the resilience and determination of our forefathers.
The Junior Section set the tone with a vibrant assembly based on a colour theme, symbolizing the unity in diversity of our nation. The students from Classes 1 and 2 showcased their talents through music, dance, and yoga performances, which were met with great applause.
The Independence Day celebrations at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, concluded with a vote of thanks, and the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and love for the nation.
