It has been rightly said that in Himachal’s valleys and villages tradition meets innovation ,crafting a unique cultural tapestry. With a view to give young Bhavanites an admiration for the rich cultural legacy of neighbouring states, Bhavan Vidyalaya organised a grand cultural event, ‘Shobhla Himachal’ on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the school.
The esteemed members of school management graced the occasion along with the worthy Principal, Ms. Gulshan Kaur. The event commenced by lighting the lamp of knowledge and wisdom by the revered guests. This was followed by depiction of the rich cultural heritage, festivals, sports, cuisine and economic growth of Himachal through mesmerising dances and songs interwoven in a well-crafted narrative. The wonderfully sung song by the students depicting folklore of Kunju- Chanchalo alongside the captivating tunes of the orchestra not only created a lively mood but also introduced the audiences to the traditional beat, sync and accent of himachalites. The exhibition of Himachali paintings and artifacts along with the vibrant dances like ‘Luddi’, ‘Jhamakra’, ‘Gidda’ and ‘Thoda Dance’ and ‘Pahari Nati’ served as a treat to the eyes of the spectators.The various art forms like pictures, paintings and local handicrafts showcased the rich cultural heritage of Himachal. For guests and visitors, the event offered a great cultural immersion. The management committee congratulated the Principal for her visionary leadership and acknowledged the fact that Bhavan Vidyalaya is a landmark of excellence in the field of education. The staff and the students were appreciated for the great efforts put up by them.
