Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula organized its third 'Kulwant Singh Literary Fest 2024' on December 20 and 21, 2024. The event emerged as a dynamic fusion of literature, art, and culture, blending stories, ideas and creativity into a memorable tapestry of inspiration and imagination. The festival began with a formal welcome that featured the glimpses of Day 1 of the event. A heartfelt tribute was paid to Late Sh. Kulwant Singh, Founder Chairman Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula and Former Chief Secretary, Haryana. The fest brought forward sustainable themes like ‘Magic of Millets: The Future on Our Plate’ through a master class by master chef Vikas Chawla. A session titled ‘Josh, Jazba & Junoon: Tribute to Kargil War Heroes and their Saga of Valour’ honoured Kargil War Heroes with General Ved Prakash Malik, PVSM & AVSM; Capt. Yogendra Singh Yadav, PVC and Col. Balwan Singh Panghal, MVC in conversation with Col. D.S. Cheema. Other riveting sessions included ‘Colours of Life: I Did It My Way’, featuring Manmohan Sarin in conversation with Roopinder Singh; ‘Safarnaama’ with Vijai Vardhan, and ‘Tum Baat To Karte’ by Vineet KKN 'Panchhi'. The outstanding works of Bhavan’s young authors through the Bribooks were also appreciated. Dr. Pawan Sudhir, Retd. Professor & Head, Department of Education in Arts and Aesthetics, NCERT conducted an insightful workshop on integrating art as a medium of literary expression. The other key workshops included storytelling, acting and theatre, Photography and creative writing. Additionally, sessions on calligraphy, puppet making, caricature art, Slate and Kalam making, and 'From Thought to Writing' were conducted. The literary extravaganza concluded with a resounding celebration of creativity and intellectual exchange, leaving an indelible mark on all participants. The Kulwant Singh Literary Fest 2024 was a memorable tribute to literature, learning, and cultural heritage.
